Research Activities
The main goal of my research activities is to develop alternative downstream processes for the purification of biopharmaceutical biomolecules, including monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins and plasmid DNA. A key feature of these novel processes is that they should allow for scalable and integrated purification platforms. Another focus of my research is the development of animal cell factories for the production of monoclonal antibodies based on Chinese hamster ovary cells (or alternatively hybridoma cells).
