Research Activities

My research is focused on the study of organoid biology and process engineering strategies that will be combined to develop region specific brain organoids, mainly containing ventral and dorsal forebrain characteristic interneurons, from human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs). The main objective is to model neurodevelopmental disorders affecting multiple neuronal subtypes originated from forebrain sub-regions. In particular, this project will focus on Rett Syndrome (RTT).
