Monoclonal antibodies are some of the most important therapeutic
biomolecules used to treat an wide range of diseases. Their use is,
however, hindered by their expensive price, caused by an overreliance
in classical and expensive downstream processes, such as
chromatography. Our research is focused in using an aqueous two phase
based antibody separation and integrating it into a microfluidic
platform, thus providing a cheap and fast alternative to antibody
separation and purification.
